Building components of the first prototype, including servomotor, microcontroller etc. The difficulties of the first prototype were to understand how we can efficiently assemble the clock to integrate all elements. For the second prototype we simplified the components and reduced the amount of 3d-printed elements to make the assembly faster.
The geometry of the first prototype had still a readable resolution which we were able to reduce for the second one. The structure is the solid Boolean between two threshold values of a trigonometric function that is depending on various parameters which creates a continuous but porous lattice to expose the interior components. The geometry of the rolling surface exposed the moving weight inside, but caused problems with a smooth motion of the clock.
